My father

Veit Relin

… was born on September 24^th, 1926 and died on January  23rd, 2013. He had a wonderful voice, as a tenor, but eventually became a painter and an actor playing on all the big stages, amongst others, the Burgtheater in Vienna. His workshop theatre in Vienna with its avant-garde repertoire caused a little revolution in the theatre world. He worked with Henry Kahnweiler and Oskar Kokoschka. Desire Caught By The Tail caused a worldwide stir and the premiere of Bertolt Brecht’s Baal was also a sensation. In short: my father was a connoisseur of the art of living and had been managing the Torturmtheatre in Sommerhausen very successfully for the last 30 years. He died on January  23rd, aged 86 years old.
